Womens Basketball - George Bellows Art

Here's a design I've just uploaded to RetroRanger...its our Womens Basketball 1903 T-Shirt. I'm real excited to make this one available because it incorporates a woman basketball player as drawn for the 1903 Ohio State University yearbook by famous American artist George Bellows. Bellows was the art director for the Makio that one year but then dropped out of OSU to go be a baseball player. When that didn't work out he went to New York and art stardom. I was real lucky to get a hold of the 1903 Makio and found this drawing too cool to not put it on a shirt. Dig those quilted pants!

Classic Cat T-Shirt - Sunset Strip Strippers

We've got a new storefront working over at Artsnow.com. Its a Chinese knock-off of Cafepress, but with some cool wrinkles, not the least of which is a free store with unlimited items and unlimited images. I've started a store called "Sixties Fashion" which I'm gonna fill up with Sixties stuff, duh.
This design is something I lifted off an old book of matches. I've been investigating old matchbook covers for graphics. There small size has meant for very basic graphics, perfect to make a transition onto a t-shirt.
Anyhoo, this design is for The Classic Cat, which was the top strip joint on Sunset Strip back in the sixties. The place was big with celebrities...actors like Bob Crane and musicians like Jim Morrison. Check out The Classic Cat T-Shirt at Sixties Fashion.
